Mudeford Arts 2021
Despite the most enormous thunderstorm the night before, the Mudeford Arts Festival got off to a cracking start on 24 July. The local arts and crafts scene really stepped up to the mark with many stunning works inspired by our local beaches, woodlands and quay. The Christchurch History Society was there to remind us of our heritage, the RNLI raising funds and chatting about their purpose, and also the NHS. There was food and drink aplenty, some buzzing live music, and great (rain free!) attendance throughout.
From its inception in 1997 the Arts Festival seems to get better each year – and long may this fantastic event continue. The lead organizer, Anthony Eden, informs us that visitor numbers were high, art and craft sales were excellent, and in excess of £3000 was raised for their 5 mainly local charities. Just brilliant!
